One
Day Workshop
The
delightful Waratah blocks are machine pieced from strips which float
onto the background fabric to make a stunning burgundy coloured
single bed quilt. This is a design that looks equally as good made
from other strong colours such as purple, gold or blue if you wish
to make a quilt to suit your decor.
A
one day workshop suitable for all levels and those who love design
as there are many possibilities for using these blocks and techniques.

This
is a fun and exciting day where students exchange fabrics and begin
to build their individual one patch Charm Quilt.
Participants
will be taught colour value and how to use this knowledge to put
a traditional design together using the shape of their choice.

good class for 16 - 20 students in a large room or hall.

FLYING
GEESE
One
day workshop
A
popular quilt for both adults and children, Flying Geese has always
been a favourite because it can be made in so many different ways.
It can be made to look modern by using contemporary or bright colours
or give it a traditional look by using country colours checks, stripes
and print fabrics. This single bed quilt is rotary cut, machine
pieced and quilted. Making the large geese this way is great way
for beginners to learn template free piecing.

FEATHERED
STAR
One
day workshop
The
ideal class for those patchworkers who have always wanted to piece
a 'Feathered Star' by machine using template free, rotary cutter
techniques. The drafting is already done for you and you will be
amazed at the way this beautiful traditional design comes together.
The finished star measures 30 inches square and is ideal to set
on point for the centre of a medallion quilt, lap quilt or wall
hanging. Techniques for how to complete a medallion quilt with pieced
borders will be discussed.

four block applique quilts were made during the 19th century from
the classic red green and gold fabrics. This traditional favourite
is approached from a different angle using six easy steps to applique
by machine with a hand sewn look and template free piecing for the
border. A fast, fun and informative workshop suitable for all levels.

VERANDAH
One
day workshop
This
design is reminiscent of my Grandmother's verandah. It is an easy
quilt to rotary cut and machine piece which is great for beginners
as well as the experienced quilter.
A
combination of large and small prints as well as checks and plaids
give this quilt the look of a tiled verandah. A great design if
you are looking to make a quilt out of the flannel fabrics available
on the market today.

CHENILLE
One
Day Workshop
This
is a technique and small project workshop suitable for all levels
of expertise and all machines. It's fun and easy to do. The pieces
of chenille you make will be made into a cushion and other small
projects including a vest, appliance cover, rotary cutter cover
or small bag.
